David M. Young is the former transportation editor for the Chicago Tribune, and the author of Chicago Transit, an Illustrated History,
the first book of a multi-volume series on the history of transportation in Chicago that will include an upcoming book that chronicles aviation in Chicago throughout the last century.
He is also co-author of Fill the Heavens with Commerce, the definitive work on pioneering aviation in Chicago.
Young's latest book is Chicago Maritime: An Illustrated History available from Northern Illinois University Press.
